✅ Server Rules and Guidelines

Welcome to our Minecraft server! We're all here to have a good time, so please follow these rules to keep the community fun, safe, and fair for everyone. These apply across all servers & discord unless specified otherwise. 

⚖️ How Rules Are Enforced

• First Offense: Warning

• Second Offense: Temporary punishment (mute, kick, or temp ban)

• Third Offense: Long temp ban or permanent ban depending on severity

Some serious offenses may skip directly to harsher punishments.

🚫 Player Rules

1. Respect Others

No harassment, bullying, or toxicity toward players or staff.

• 1st: Warning → 2nd: Mute/Kick → 3rd: Temp or Perm Ban

2. No Griefing or Stealing

Damaging or stealing from others is not allowed.

• Immediate permanent ban

3. No Cheating or Exploiting

No hacks, dupes, or exploiting bugs.

• Immediate permanent ban

4. Keep Chat Clean

English Only. No swearing, slurs, personal info, spam, or NSFW content.

• 1st: Warning → 2nd: Mute → 3rd: Temp Ban

Addendum:
Use of specific slurs will result in an immediate permanent ban by our automated Chat Patrol system.
Racist remarks and extreme chat blowups may also result in an instant permanent ban at the discretion of staff.

5. No Lag Machines

Avoid redstone/contraptions that hurt server performance.

• 1st: Build removal + warning → 2nd: Temp Ban → 3rd: Perm Ban (if intentional)

6. Respect the Environment

No floating trees or unnecessary terrain damage.

• 1st: Warning → 2nd: Kick → 3rd: Temp Ban

7. No Loophole Exploiting

If it feels like cheating the system, it probably is.

• 1st: Warning → 2nd: Temp Ban → 3rd: Perm Ban

Welcome to Block-by-Block!

This is FriendlySMP's weekly(ish) build challenge. Each week(ish) there will be a new challenge with certain requirements, restrictions, and/or themes. There are prizes for the top 3 builds!

To participate:

1. Make sure you've read and understand the rules below!
2. Find and read the most recent BBB prompt from the events forum, or go to #events in our discord!
3. Go to our semi-vanilla server, then type /warp build to teleport to the creative world
4. Get to work, and have fun!

Rules for Block-by-Block:
- Unless otherwise specified, all builds must be built in our creative world at /warp build.
 - Please note that the world is only 60 blocks deep; if you want to build further underground, you're going to have to do some upward landscaping first!
- All of the normal server rules apply as normal.
- No impeding other player's builds in any way.
- Using a block "prominently" means it is a significant and visible part of the build.
- Do not replicate anyone else's build; this includes building tutorials and images found on the internet of other builds.
- Unless specified to be a team build, all builds must be built by only ONE builder. Others can observe and advise, but cannot place or break blocks.
- Do not use blocks that are not normally obtainable in creative, such as custom player heads and invisible item frames.
- Challenges are announced on Sundays, and building can begin immediately after the announcement is made.
- The build must be completed by the deadline at midnight EST. No blocks may be placed or broken after this time! Winners will be determined and prizes distributed after the challenge is completed.
- The Block-by-Block builder's world will be reset every so often, but Jamplifier will collect downloads of the builds to share for those who would like them.
- The BBB world may ONLY be used for the competition. No extraneous builds are allowed
- Easy place or other building helper mods are not allowed! Schematic mods are fine, so long as you aren't using easyplace/printer, nor are you copying a build that isn't yours.

Any breaking of these rules will result in immediate disqualification from that week's build challenge, in addition to whatever other consequences the action may result in according to the server rules (for example, if you grief someone else's build, you will be perma-banned).

PvP on FriendlySMP

PvP is allowed on FriendlySMP if both/all parties agree. You can use /pvp to enable/disable pvp

PvP Rules:

• Consenual PvP only. Both parties must agree.
• No Combat Logging
• No cheats or exploits
• No attempting to trap or kill anyone who is not in pvp and playing casually
• Keep Inventory is on too avoid issues(unless attempting to combat log)
• This is not a factions server, PvP should stay friendly and not spark any commotion or arguments among members.
• Admin Discretion. Admins have the final say in PvP disputes and can enforce penalties for rule violations.
